Our Story

Born in the Okanagan Valley, built for the people who call it home

Buckin' Chute started with a simple idea: Omak deserved a place where the morning crew could grab a proper cup of coffee and the evening crowd could unwind with a well-made drink — all under one roof, without the pretense.

We opened our doors on Dayton Street South with a focus on what matters — great coffee sourced from roasters who care, cocktails made with intention, and food that actually tastes like something you'd want to come back for.

This isn't a chain. It's not a trend. It's a neighborhood spot that happens to have really good espresso and a damn solid whiskey list. Come as you are.

The Space

Designed for lingering, not just passing through

We built Buckin' Chute to feel like the living room you wish you had — comfortable seating that actually supports your back, lighting that's warm without being dim, and enough room to spread out your laptop or your crossword.

The bar area is where the magic happens in the evening — our bartenders know their stuff and aren't afraid to make a recommendation. During the day, the counter seats are perfect for a quick coffee and a people-watching session on Dayton Street.

There's a patio out back when the weather's kind (and in Omak, that's most of the year). Bring the dog. We'll bring the water bowl.
